More than 200 experts, scientists, representatives of NGOs and government officials involved in the study and protection of snow leopard in 12 countries of the range of this species took part in the International Conference held in Shenzhen, China, September 3-7, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snow Leopard Transboundary Initiative (SL-TBI) was among the reports on various aspects of the study and protection of snow leopard, presented by scientists of the world environmental community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leader of SL-TBI, Philip Riordan, made a report on the topic: \u201cTransboundary Conservation of Snow Leopards\u201d, making clear the necessity of transboundary cooperation in protecting snow leopards. The relationship between transboundary landscapes is a key requirement for ensuring the protection of snow leopard within its range. The presentation also presented the first results of successful cooperation between the teams working on snow leopard conservation in China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, achieved in the pilot stage of SL-TBI.
