The results of the pilot study of Snow Leopard Transboundary Initiative (SL-TBI) were presented at the 5th Regional Meeting of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) Asia Section \u2013 \u201cMainstreaming Conservation in a Changing Asia \u201cConservation Asia 2018\u201d. The coordinator of the project from NABU \u2013 Irina Muschik spoke at the section of Transboundary Conservation with a report on the topic: \u201cConnectivity across borders \u2013 a pilot study on transboundary snow leopard conservation\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Irina Muschik reported on the main achievements of the teams working in snow leopard habitats near the state borders of China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan as part of the pilot stage of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting of «Conservation Asia 2018» was held 2018 in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic) 6-10 August. It brought together more than 250 participants from 44 countries to discuss issues of biodiversity conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wildlife Without Border-Kazakhstan, in partnership with the Institute of Zoology, are the participants in the first regional project on transboundary conservation of snow leopard between Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and China.
